Is System.AddIn dead?

On the discussion board at http://mef.codeplex.com/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=40335, gblock says the following regarding MEF vs. System.AddIn:

As far as the long term perspective, MEF is being position as the framework for extensibility going forward.

Is System.AddIn doomed to a LINQ to SQL-like fate, or will we continue to see investments in System.AddIn moving forward (such as an 'official' pipeline builder)?

Any response from the System.AddIn team?

A lot of us are really depending on this functionality and looking forward to some enhancements in .NET 4.
