I'm new in this System.AddIn, I'm just wondering if you guys know whether it make sense or not implementing AddIn for Web-Based application?

option 1) I'm thinking to wrap the Host Application with WCF Host and the Business Layer of the web application will call the WCF.

option 2) or is it optimized to just find the add in, activate the addin and then call the function? (basically the host is not running all the time - only instantiate when it's necessary)

Many thanks !

I don't really have enough context here to make a recomendation between your two options (I'm not sure I understand them either). I can tell you that System.AddIn was designed with both server and client apps in mind and is appropriate for use in a web server, but I don't know if it makes sense for your specific scenario.
